The plotting thickens… #fridayinterview #crimefiction #mysteries

“I am a devout outliner. I spend eight months planning a novel. The outlines are generally 150 pages long.” So explains Jeffery Deaver, master of thriller writing, in a Q&A with Crime Fiction Lover, which is also this week’s #fridayinterview. (For those of you overwhelmed by the thought of all that preparation, take heart: I saw Deaver interviewed on a Magna Cum Murder panel along with British thriller writer Robert Wilson, who listened intently to Deaver’s explanation of his work habits, and then replied: “Not only do I not outline, when I sit down each day to write, I have no idea what’s going to happen.”
