Emails or e-meeting? Supreme Court weighs open meetings case…

School board members in central Ohio upset by a newspaper editorial criticizing a policy circulated drafts of a response by email. A lone board member, the subject of the new policy setting limits on how the board investigates alleged wrongdoing, cried foul, saying the emails violate Ohio’s open meetings law. The board says the emails are part of modern communication. My story looks at both sides of the arguments before the Ohio Supreme Court.
